We start from a place of equal partnership. The assets of the communities and the strength of the community leaders are our foundation. We build from there through:
Leadership Development: We serve community leaders by being a resource for them to improve their skills, abilities and confidence as leaders.
Operational and Technical Assistance: We help community-led organizations develop processes and identify needed resources that enhance their work.
Capacity Strengthening: We strengthen the skills of individuals, teams, and boards so that community-led organizations can better fulfill their missions.
Partnership Development: We identify and develop relationships with partners in the U.S. and internationally to strengthen the impact and sustainability.
Financial Sustainability: We develop financial sustainability models for community-led organizations to become less donor-dependent.
Resource Mobilization: We mobilize resources for community-led organizations in the form of grants, in-kind donations, and fundraising planning.

The center is managed by a local team that knows their community. Their deep understanding of the challenges makes them best positioned to develop programs and work with the children and their families.

Programing focuses on quality and inclusive education, health and wellbeing, entrepreneurship and financial literacy, the arts and creativity, and, most importantly, leadership development.

Our holistic approach focuses on the breadth and depth of the relationship with each child which can last over a decade. We open doors for a child to discover their unique gifts and talents while they maximize their potential and become a leader.

College Scholarship Fund
Through our flagship Learning & Leadership Center in Kafue, Zambia, we award college scholarships so that committed young leaders can further their education.
Students currently attend colleges and universities across Zambia, the African Leadership Academy in South Africa, and SUNY Schenectady Community College in New York state, USA.
To date, over 120 college graduates have completed their studies thanks to these scholarships.
